Riding Horses - Mares

Riding Horses & Young Stock:

We have several additional horses going nicely under saddle, including:

  • DEVINEE, Dark bay 16.2hh 2002 Hanoverian mare by Don Frederico, well-recognized in Germany as one of today's top young sires (see below) and 2006 Dressage Stallion of the Year. Banter / Bolero dam line. Bolero sired 47 licensed stallions, including Brentanos I and II, Buenos Aires and Bismark. Three of Bolero's decendants medaled at the 2004 Olympics: Beauvalais (Spain / Ferrar Salat), Bonaparte (Germany / Kemmer), and Brentina (USA / McDonald).  Devinee is a lovely type, big yet very fancy. Her wonderful disposition, natural suspension and talent under saddle make her a definite FEI prospect, and her bloodlines mark her as a valuable broodmare candidate as well. She quite loves attention and is very sweet and easy to handle and ride! Shown below at age 6 and in leg yield with amateur on board. Solid piaffe / passage foundaton, and what a canter!

                                                                           Don Frederico - 1997 17hh Hanoverian stallion

Don Frederico is a big-framed yet elegant young stallion by the famous Donnerhall, with outstanding gaits scoring a 9.0 for his walk, 9.33 for his trot and a 9.33 for his canter. He also scored a 9.5 for rideability and 9's for his disposition and willingness to perform. He was Reserve Champion of his Stallion Licensing in 2000, and Champion of the Dressage section. Don Frederico was the top dressage producing stallion in 2006 and 2007 with an index of 161! He is ranked higher than Hohenstein (156), Weltmeyer (156), Caprimond (149), Londonderry (147), and Rotspon (146). Not only is he ranked higher than some very famous dressage producing stallions but he did it in his first year with recorded breeding values and with significantly less offspring than other Hanoverian stallions. with an FN breed value of 174, Don Frederico is known to be highly prepotent, passing along his superlative characteristics to his offspring with an index of .89, and as of 2007 has already produced 17 licensed sons and 80 States Premium Mares. For more info about Don Fredeico, go to www.landgestuetcell.com.

  • WELTAUNA, 1999 Chestnut granddaughter of the foundation dressage sire, Weltmeyer. At 16hh, she has exceptional movement and clearly demonstrates why the Weltmeyer line is one of the foundations of modern dressage. Super supple and elastic, she offers an extended trot like a flying carpet, expressive flying changes, and demonstrates an outstanding talent for pirouette, passage and piaffe. In September, 2008, Weltauna received a "premium" mare designation and was the high point winner at her Oldenburg inspection with an exceptionally high score of 108 points. Only the top 2 percent of Oldenburg mares receive over 105 points to be graded premium, and the judge reinforced her point score with the remark that "this is a really nice mare!" Weltauna is half-sister to champion dressage stallion, HS Wistar, and we expect her to excel at upper dressage levels as well. She loves to be the center of attention, is a true judge and audience pleaser, and loves to go! A very special girl!

At the Oldenburg Inspection - An "8" on her lovely head, and
an "8" for her trot on the triangle at the Oldenburg inspection, where Weltuna was designated a premium mare and won the high point award.

About Weltauna's sire (bay stallion above left): Wishes and Dreams, now deceased, was a 1993 dark bay Oldenburg stallion by the legendary Weltmeyer out of Oldenburg star FEI dressage mare, Phirst Solo. In 2001, Wishes and Dreams placed first nationally for his Third Level Musical Freestyle with the AWR, Oldenburg NA, and received the Silver Stirrups Awards from the PHR as well. He also placed third nationally for Third Level with AWR, Oldenburg NA and the PHR. An extraordinarily potent stallion, Wishes and Dreams stamped all of his offspring with striking movement, strong work ethic and his wonderful disposition.

  • MERENGUE, 2006 mostly Andalusian stallion. A flashy black with a refined body type and flashy movement. Photos coming soon.

High School Farm also owns the following young stock:

  • MERENGUE: 2006 black 3/4 Andalusian colt by the extravagant Andalusian stallion, Monarch, seen at left below. Merengue's dam sire is Astro, seen as a yount stallion on the right, who was trained to Grand Prix and is also featured on the FEI horses page. is the beautiful Balanza, who can be seen on the Sold Horses page. He is still a stallion and has been worked in hand as well as very lightly started under saddle. So far, he promises to combine the best of his sire's movement with his dam's size, disposition and considerable dressage talent. Merengue's photos to come.

  • REGATTA: Charming 2007 Hanoverian filly by Regazonni out of champion brood mare, Point Noir (1997 "Great American Insurance Group/USDF Region 7 Dressage Sport Horse Breeding Grand Champion Mature Mare"). Regazzoni is well known in Europe as a prepotent "improving" stallion with excellent gait and stallion scores, so we expect wonderful things from this sweet young lady.
